A group show celebrating 25 years of Perrella Gallery arts events, this exhibit includes a selection of artists who have had solo shows in the gallery over the past 25 years. The exhibit features the work of (in alphabetical order) Barney Bellinger, Michael Davis, Alexandra Higgins, E. R. Jones (posthumous), Erin Kelly, Willie Marlowe, Gail Nadeau, Judith Plotner, William Ruller, Noah Savett, Phil Scalia, Tyler Schrader, Linda Stein, and Harry Wirtz.
Retired FMCC arts faculty, Joel Chapin, will be giving a brief talk at the reception honoring these and the many other artists that have shared their artistic vision with both the local and FMCC campus community over the years. As a longtime dream of his, Chapin oversaw the construction and inception of the gallery space in 1999. In his position as the Gallery Director, and with the gallery’s inaugural show that fall, Chapin began welcoming local artists into the space. He was privileged to work with numerous regional and local artists, and curated many solo and group shows over the years. The Perrella Gallery looks forward to many more years of supporting the arts in the local community. The 25th Anniversary Exhibit will be open until November 4th.
For the fall semester, The Perrella Gallery hours are Mon – Fri, 9am – 4pm, or by appointment. The gallery is closed weekends and holidays. For further information please contact the Gallery Director, Brian May at 518-736-3622, ext. 8879.
An artist reception will be held on Friday, September 20th at the gallery from 6 - 8pm. The community is invited and the event is free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
