Academic Advisement
An important aspect of a student’s education involves making informed decisions regarding the selection of an academic major and semester coursework. The College has maintained a high-quality program of academic advisement and registration that offers individual advising appointments for new and continuing students. This personalized approach to advisement is an effective method for helping students acclimate to the college environment by providing an academic and career assessment to set academic goals, discuss program and course requirements, and address identified academic support needs.
The Academic Advising Team will be your campus “go to” staff and will assist you with any questions or concerns you may have surrounding your degree program, course requirements, class scheduling and other items related to your academic success. We will work together to ensure you will be able to achieve all your college goals.
Registration
Registration begins for fall and summer in late March and for winter and spring beginning in late October. Continuing students will be emailed instructions on advising and registration. Information on online and in-person advising will be emailed to your FMCC email. For more information go to MyFM.
