The Foundation of Fulton-Montgomery Community College was formed in 1976. Our mission is to enhance SUNY Fulton-Montgomery Community College through positive regional community relations, and to develop private funds to advance educational opportunities for students, staff and the community. Be generating, processing and allocating gifts, the Foundation supports efforts that enhance the quality of programs by funding scholarship, new academic initiatives, technology, endowments, faculty/staff development, athletic programs, and capital projects. This year will mark our 50th anniversary of giving back.

The Foundation is located at the crossroads of the Mohawk Valley and Capital Regions in Johnstown, NY.  The Foundation helps provide students with quality education in an environment that nurtures success preparing them for great careers. 

The Foundation Board of Directors is made up of members from our local community hospitals, college faculty/student representation, college alumni and the Board of Trustees. The responsibility of a board member is managing the organization and making decisions crucial to the life and direction of the organization, such as adding or removing board members, engaging auditors, and other professionals. Board members also must fulfill fiduciary duties to the organization and the public it serves, attend all board and committee meetings and actively participate in discussion and decision-making such as setting of policies.
