Carlie Krzys started at FMCC in November 2023 as our new Outreach and Program Engagement Specialist. For the last 2 1/2 years, Carlie was an Assistant Program Director with the Mental Health Association. Previously, she worked with the Boys & Girls Club of Schenectady as a Career and Support Specialist and with Saint Jude Retreats as a Director of Family Services for 6 years. Carlie loves volleyball and plays on a co-ed league in Guilderland and loves spending time with her family.

Kim Scott started on March 25th as our new Apprenticeship and Career Planning Specialist. Kim received her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies - Cultural Anthropology from SUNY Plattsburgh and obtained her Master's degree in Technical Communication from RPI. She has held academic advising / outreach positions at Excelsior College, Empire State College, Thomas Edison State College, and Saint Peter's University. She has worked in the field of Contract Management and most recently worked at Epimed International as a Quality Assurance Analyst. In her free time, Kim enjoys running, audiobooks, lifelong learning, and craft beer.

Mr. Grande has been teaching at FM since the fall of 1996. Before FM, he taught for three years at Catonsville Community College, now part of the Community Colleges of Baltimore County. He also worked as a graduate teaching assistant at UAlbany.
He has taught most of the math courses offered at FM. They include Contemporary Mathematics, Introduction to Statistics, Elementary Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, and Ordinary Differential Equations. In addition to teaching, he is an academic adviser and serves on the Assessment and Safety Committees. He has chaired the Mathematics Division, served on the Student Life Committee, and was the faculty adviser to the Ski Club.
He is a member of the New York State Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (NYSMATYC) and the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS).
