SUNY FMCC Radiologic Technology Pinning and White Coat Ceremony to Honor Graduates

Rad Tech Class of 2024

Pinning ceremonies for nurses and allied health students are rooted in tradition and hold significance as a rite of passage symbolizing achievement, professionalism, and the transition to the next phase of their careers. They provide a meaningful and memorable experience which helps shape the identity and values of these future healthcare professionals.

The White Coat Ceremony signifies a professional relationship with other colleagues who provide health care services. Contributing to the care of others is a privilege and a responsibility. The white coat they wear is more than a familiar lab coat: it is a symbol of caring, compassion, and service.

The event emphasizes the importance of professionalism and compassionate care for the patient as well as the recipients’ commitment to excellence in the imaging profession. The event is a celebratory culmination of two years of rigorous course work, countless sacrifices, and clinical hours. The entire FM community has poured into these graduates’ success. The graduates are marking the leaving of one group in society to enter another. As a group, we can say that we have entered a realm, or group, of professionalism in society where the standards that we have set for ourselves drive our goals to provide the best care possible to the patients that we serve.

Please join us on 5/17/2024 in the Rao Theater at FMCC as we congratulate the Class of 2024 and to help us send off the newest radiologic technologists.
